  • Maury L. Carter & Associates, Inc. and Dowd Properties handled the transaction. By Yvette C. Hammett Growthspotter |May 13, 2022 at 1:41 pm The Tampa-based Eisenhower Property Group (EPG) has purchased 735-acre Little Everglades Farm in Groveland for $20.2 million, with preliminary plans to build a Village concept on the property. … Homebuilder D. R. Horton had submitted a preliminary plat for 318 residential lots on the farm but then withdrew it from consideration, Jones said. He said Rainer told him D.R. Horton would be the home builder, but a new plat will be submitted. Maury L. Carter & Associates represented the sellers in the transaction. The village concept fits in with the city’s updated land development code. Community Development Director Tim Maslow said EPG is expected to include all three Village districts in its plan. “The core is closer to S.R. 19 on the east, then it transitions from Village Center to Village Edge.” Read the entire article here: https://www.growthspotter.com/news/lake-county-developments/gs-news-little-everglades-farm-20220513-oqtnnfmgc5e5bifkznewpccsje-story.html - May 17, 2022
  • Maury L. Carter & Associates, Inc. represents Encompass Health and handled the real estate transactions in the acquisition of the three sites (Kissimmee, Altamonte Springs and Clermont) mentioned in this article. By Ryan Lynch  –  Staff Writer, Orlando Business Journal Jan 14, 2022, 4:04pm EST Updated Mar 11, 2022, 4:48pm EST

A Birmingham, Alabama-based rehabilitation hospital company has bought the land for its proposed Kissimmee facility.

Encompass Health Corp. (NYSE: EHC) bought a 7.41-acre property on Sadina Street in Kissimmee for $5.95 million on Dec. 17, according to Osceola County records. The site — purchased from RW Management Limited — is located near the southwest corner of Vineland Road and Calypso Cay Way.

... In addition, the hospital owns its Altamonte Springs facility and bought land for a 100-bed, 83,500-square-foot rehab hospital in Clermont. The Clermont hospital will be built out in multiple bed phases, with 50 beds and 54,700 square feet in Phase 1. Two additional phases with 20 beds and 30 beds, respectively, would be built as part of a 28,800-square-foot expansion. Encompass Health's goal is to open the Clermont hospital this year. Continued population growth in 2022, along with the aging population, will drive demand for expanded services in 2022, Henry W. Grady III, senior vice president and industry consultant for not-for-profit hospitals and health systems at Truist, previously told Orlando Business Journal. "Along the continuum of care there are sectors, such as rehab, post-acute, and skilled nursing, that we expect will see increased demand due to the overall demographic of the population."
