Publix acquires 6 shopping centers for $130M, including 4 in Central Florida
Publix Super Markets has completed the acquisition of a six-property shopping center portfolio for $130.4 million, including four Publix-anchored shopping centers in Central Florida. The transaction closed on January 15, 2026, and encompasses approximately 412,000 square feet of neighborhood retail space across Florida and Georgia. Four of the fully leased shopping centers are in Central Florida. Those include locations in Orlando, Lake Mary, Windermere and St. Cloud. The others are in Fort Myers and Newnan, Georgia.
The shopping centers were developed on previously acquired land and managed over the long term prior to the sale. Maury L. Carter & Associates was involved in the land investment, retail development, asset management, and brokerage of the portfolio, and announced the closing of the transaction. The sale was co-brokered with CBRE, with both firms representing the seller.
