Lynx moves to buy 20+ acres in Osceola County | OBJ

Lynx is moving to acquire more than 20 acres of undeveloped land in Osceola County.

The board of directors for the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority will consider March 26 authorizing the purchase of a 21.4-acre property in Osceola County near the intersection of Osceola Parkway and Bill Beck Boulevard for $13.5 million.

Daryl Carter, president of Maury L. Carter & Associates Inc., told Orlando Business Journal that as both Southern Orange County and Northern Osceola County have grown, land has become more scarce. Much of this land has been snapped up by new residential and commercial developments over the past decades.

This increase in new development has continued to drive up prices.

However, Carter said the Lynx offer is similar to other vacant properties that have sold. He said a 22-acre site he was involved with along Boggy Creek Road sold for $15 million, a similar price to the Lynx transaction.
