Seminole County eyes natural lands for conservation, including once-imperiled Hi-Oaks Ranch | Orlando Sentinel

Seminole County has ranked the 670-acre Hi-Oaks Ranch as its top priority for purchase under the Seminole Forever conservation program. The ecologically rich property, owned by the Clayton family and represented by Maury L. Carter & Associates, scored highest for habitat diversity, recreation potential, and development vulnerability. Listed at $35 million, Hi-Oaks may require joint county and state funding to preserve this key corridor along the Econ River.
