Seminole County Considers Purchase of Hi-Oaks Ranch | Spectrum News 13

Seminole County is taking steps to acquire Hi-Oaks Ranch, a nearly 700-acre property listed by Maury L. Carter & Associates, as part of its Seminole Forever land conservation program. This significant tract of rural land near Chuluota was recommended by the county’s Acquisition and Restoration Committee for preservation due to its environmental value and development pressure in the area. A final decision on the purchase is expected in June.

Seminole’s ‘hole in the doughnut’: Massive Hi-Oaks Ranch land assemblage hits market | Orlando Business Journal

One of Seminole County’s last large vacant land tracts has hit the market.

Hi-Oaks Ranch, a six-parcel assemblage totaling 672 acres between the Econlockhatchee River and County Road 419 on the county’s southern border, is being marketed for sale by land brokers Maury L. Carter & Associates Inc.

“It’s a very rare property — and once it’s gone, it’s gone,” (Daryl Carter) said. “Any land in Seminole County that comes available is going to be sought after.”
