Daryl Carter and Conrad Carter with Maury L. Carter & Associates , together with Jim Dowd of Dowd Properties, and Tony Roper and Jimmy Roper of Roper Real Estate assembled and closed on the sale.  “It’s a smokin’ piece of real estate,” Daryl Carter told GrowthSpotter when he listed the Arnold property last November.   • By Laura Kinsler | lkinsler@growthspotter.com | GrowthSpotter | UPDATED: September 28, 2024 at 10:53 a.m.   GT USA  paid a staggering $165 million Friday for nearly 2,500 acres of undeveloped land in Lake County’s Wellness Way area, breaking the county’s previous sale record that was set just three months ago.   The  American division of Canadian homebuilder GT Homes bought the swath of land stretching from U.S. 27 to the Orange County line. It includes the Arnold Groves & Ranch (1,750 acres) and adjacent Roper property (730 acres), which the company plans to combine into a single master-planned community called Panther Run.   The sale nearly doubles the $90 million price Pulte paid to GT USA in July for the 840-acre Schofield property just up the road. ... Daryl Carter and Conrad Carter with Maury L.   • By Steven Ryzewski – Associate Managing Editor, Orlando Business Journal | Sep 27, 2024 | Updated Sep 28, 2024 9:16am EDT   A massive — and perhaps historic — land deal has closed in the Wellness Way area of Lake County.   GT Homes Wellness Way II LP — an entity related to GT USA, a Fort Lauderdale-based partnership between Canadian homebuilders Greenpark Group and Treasure Hill — closed Sept. 27 on an assemblage of more than 2,400 acres for a sales price of $166.5 million, Orlando Business Journal has learned.   Land brokers Daryl Carter and Conrad Carter of Orlando-based Maury L. Carter and Associates Inc. told Orlando Business Journal they partnered with Tony Roper and Jimmy Roper of Roper Real Estate to represent the sellers — a group that included Arnold Groves & Ranch Ltd. and trusts related to the Roper family — in the transaction.   Jim Dowd of Celebration-based Dowd Properties Inc. represented the buyers.   A deed has not posted yet to Lake County records.
